High dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy is an essential component in the management of locally advanced cervical cancer. However, sub optimal workflows can cause anxiety, distress, and discomfort in patients, while inadequate training can compromise treatment outcomes.

This course aims to introduce state-of-the-art HDR brachytherapy techniques and best practice guidelines through a combination of didactic lectures, live/video procedure, equipment demonstration and hands-on training sessions.

Speakers will reference updated guidelines for Image-guided adaptive brachytherapy. Attendees will gain the confidence to initiate an HDR cervical cancer brachytherapy program or refine their skills to apply in their own clinical practice.
